BEN TANKARD
When Paula was called into full-time ministry, she discovered a passion for missions and taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations. While serving as the Director of Missions for Antioch Missions International, she traveled to various countries in Africa, South America and Central America preaching, teaching and building relationships with leaders; as well as mobilizing and training hundreds of men/women, teens and children to go to other nations around the world.
Paula has completed a Master’s of Divinity from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA where she concentrated on missiology for further preparation in full-time missions ministry. She is continuing her ministry internationally to orphans, widows and the unchurched helping them to live an overcoming life through the power of Jesus Christ.
Paula is Founder and President of the widows and orphans ministry, From Widow To Winner Projects International, with the vision to build Orphanages and Widow centers globally to respond to the needs of the oppressed and distressed.
In 1986, after 17 years of marriage, Paula lost her husband, Darryl, to a sudden brain aneurysm. “This sudden and tragic event in my life was a challenge to everything I believed as a born-again Christian.” But Paula clung to God through the grieving process and today desires to serve as an instrument of support to orphans, more specifically to the emancipated youth, and widows, the unchurched and anyone who has lost their way spiritually.
The defining scripture that leads the vision of From Widow To Winner Projects is Isaiah 1:17, “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.”
Paula is proud to be the mother of four adult children, 1 son and 3 daughters, grandmother to six grandchildren, 4 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
